The 2025 Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month has the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong stated that in 2024, the city had 191 labor accidents, including one that left unfortunate consequences. This situation requires all levels, sectors, units and enterprises to be more determined in ensuring occupational safety and hygiene.
All levels, sectors, unions, enterprises and workers focus on effectively implementing the Labor Safety and Hygiene Program for the period 2023-2025 according to Directive No. 31 of the Secretariat and Resolution No. 23 of the City People's Council, with the spirit of "5 clear": Clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear results. Along with that, promote propaganda of laws and policies on labor safety, especially for groups of workers without contracts; strengthen inspection and examination in high-risk areas such as seaports, mechanical engineering, construction, mineral exploitation, etc.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee called on all levels, sectors, business communities and all workers in the city to join hands to act, determined to successfully implement the goal of ensuring occupational safety and hygiene for the sustainable development of the city.
At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City commended many collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene; the Hai Phong City Labor Federation presented gifts to a number of victims and relatives of victims of occupational accidents and occupational diseases in difficult circumstances.
