Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation - emphasized that the Technical Innovation Contest among trade union members and workers and employees of the city is being implemented to concretize the major policies of the Party and State on building a modern and high-quality workforce; especially the spirit of Resolution No. 45-NQ/TW of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong to 2030, vision 2045; Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW on innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new situation; and policies on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.

The contest aims at 3 key objectives: arousing and strongly spreading the spirit of creative labor among union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers; turning each workplace into an "incubator of initiatives"; promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and technical improvements into practice; contributing to improving labor productivity, product quality, management efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises, agencies, and units. At the same time, building a team of Hai Phong workers with high skills, industrial style, innovative thinking and the ability to quickly adapt to the digital economy and international integration.
Through three times of organization, the Contest has recorded hundreds of topics and solutions with high practical value; many initiatives have been widely applied, bringing great benefits to businesses and the State budget. Thereby, contributing to the formation of a creative culture in the workforce - where each worker believes that they can improve their work better every day.

Launching the 4th Technical Innovation Contest among trade union members and workers and employees of the city in 2026, the Chairman of the City Labor Federation said that the Organizing Committee aims for the goal that creativity must be associated with digital transformation; improvement must be towards automation, energy saving and environmental protection; technical solutions must accompany administrative reform and improve service quality.

To spread the contest and achieve high efficiency, city trade union levels promote widespread propaganda about the meaning and objectives of the contest; proactively coordinate with business leaders, agencies, and units to create conditions in terms of time, environment, and incentive mechanisms for workers to research and propose initiatives; promptly discover, honor, and replicate advanced examples in the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement. The Chairman of the City Labor Federation called on each union member, worker, civil servant, and city worker to boldly register for topics, solutions, and initiatives, starting from their own work, contributing to building the image of dynamic, creative, technology-mastered, and future-building Hai Phong workers.
At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 60 authors and groups of authors with initiatives winning the Contest and 3 prizes to collectives with many participating solutions and winning the contest.
