It is expected that on April 27, Da Nang will host the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene (OSH) and Workers' Month 2025 organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs.
This is an activity to propagate and raise the awareness and awareness of all levels, sectors, localities, employers, workers in agencies, units, businesses and all people in the city on the implementation of OSH, take care of the lives and health of workers. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to implement the theme of the Month of Action on OSH "Strengthening the evaluation, identification of risks, risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace" and the month of workers in 2025 "Vietnamese workers pioneered into the new era".
On this occasion, the Da Nang City Trade Union at all levels will organize activities to care for workers such as advising on organizing the "May Dialogue" program; organizing the "Party with Workers - Workers with the Party" forum; organizing the TV game show "Tan ca vui - Khoe" season 2 in 2025; organizing the Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, striving to actually increase 32,000 union members and 160 grassroots unions in the non-state sector in 2025.
In particular, during Workers' Month 2025, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will give 174 gifts with a total cost of 380 million VND. Including 170 gifts, each worth 2 million VND for workers who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses and 4 gifts worth 10 million VND/gift to support the families of union members and workers who died due to work accidents or occupational diseases. The City Labor Federation also presented 34 "Union Shelters" with a total cost of more than 1.22 billion VND to union members with difficult housing circumstances.
At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee will also award awards from all levels and sectors to 21 collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in occupational safety and hygiene and 4 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor, building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024. The Da Nang City Labor Federation also symbolically presented 15 gifts to workers who have had work-related accidents and occupational diseases and 15 "Union Shelters" to union members.
