With the characteristic of managing more than 5,300 workers distributed at 20 grassroots trade unions, the biggest difficulty of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union is the large management area, stretching across all three communes Nam Phuoc, Duy Nghia and Thu Bon. Not only facing obstacles due to geographical distance, the diversity of types of units from autonomous public service agencies, private enterprises to industry trade unions also poses a difficult problem in synchronizing trade union activities. Especially, for specialized trade unions such as fishing trade unions, trade union revenue is almost zero, making it extremely difficult to maintain and organize the movement.
Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union said: "Accessing 20 units at the same time after implementing the two-level government model is a major challenge for the commune trade union, because these units have very diverse types, from self-reliant career blocks, businesses to trade unions. In particular, the fishing trade union has almost no stable source of income. To overcome this, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union has proactively coordinated with the People's Committees of the three communes to develop specific coordination regulations.
At the same time, we accompany the cultural - social sector and social insurance agencies to organize field surveys at businesses to comprehensively grasp the initial operating situation, thereby finding the most effective support plan.
