On April 22, the Hau Giang Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) coordinated with the Provincial Department of Home Affairs and the People's Committee of Vi Thanh City to organize the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and Labor Safety and Hygiene Month in 2025.
Attending were Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice Chairman of VGCL; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang Province and Mr. Tran Van Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee.
With the theme "Vietnamese workers enter the new era" and "Strengthen assessment of risk and risk recognition and proactively implement measures to ensure OSH at work", Chairman of Hau Giang Labor Federation Le Cong Khanh said that in the month of workers and the month of action on OSH in 2025, the provincial Labor Federation will continue to perform well the legitimate and legal rights of the Union, the employees of the Union, the employees of the Union;
In addition, launching the organization of revolutionary action movements, patriotic emulation, voting to set typical examples of good people and good deeds, visiting and giving gifts to encourage workers in difficult circumstances; workers who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, etc.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hau Giang Province - proposed the Standing Committee of the provincial Labor Federation and the Trade Union levels in the province to strengthen the propaganda, creating a high consensus among trade unions, DV and employees in the province on arranging and merging the administrative units of the province and the commune level in accordance with the guidance of the provincial and the provincial government; extensive propaganda about the purpose and significance of the working month and the month of action on OSH in 2025.
Units need to continue to innovate the content and form of activities; strengthen the implementation and implementation of ensuring occupational safety and health; improve working conditions, proactively prevent and combat occupational accidents and diseases, especially for female workers.
Enthusiastic production, competition
At the launching ceremony, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong presented 4 Trade Union Shelters, worth 200 million VND, mobilized from the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee to present 20 Trade Union Shelters, worth 1 billion VND to union members and workers in difficult housing circumstances. Hau Giang Provincial Labor Federation also presented 500 gifts, each worth 700,000 VND, to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, occupational diseases and work-related accidents.
Receiving the gift in hand, male worker Duong Van Bao (Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province) expressed: "The gift is an motivation for me to be more enthusiastic about producing and participating in activities organized by the Trade Union. I just hope that these meaningful activities will be increasingly replicated, so that every month is Workers' Month".
Sharing the same joy, male worker Nguyen Van Teo (Vi Thanh city, Hau Giang province) shared: "We are very proud to have a month dedicated to ourselves. This shows the concern of the Trade Union organization and the whole society for workers. With joy and excitement, we will unite, actively compete in good labor, creative labor, strive to study, improve skills...".
On the enterprise side, Mr. Bui Dong Thien - Director of JIA ZHI Company Limited, Vi Thanh City (Hau Giang Province) - emphasized that the company will coordinate with the unit's Trade Union to launch Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health so that workers and employees can respond with practical actions; organize many emulation movements, good production and business labor to contribute to the development of the enterprise, care for the material and spiritual life of employees and workers.
The company also researched and focused on investing in facilities, improving working conditions, and creating favorable conditions to ensure occupational safety and health, especially in fire prevention and fighting, prevention of occupational accidents and diseases.
