Cultivating the spirit of compassion
Recently, the grassroots Trade Union of Duy Xuyen Regional Health Center (a unit directly under Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union) held a meeting of the Executive Committee and implemented the response model "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing" launched by Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union.
At the deployment ceremony, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union unanimously mobilized all union members and workers to actively participate with a spirit of thrift and mutual affection. Immediately after that, 9 piggy banks were handed over to 9 trade union groups for implementation. Each group directly manages and mobilizes union members to participate in "piggy banking" from small daily savings, creating a fund to serve the work of caring for and supporting union members in difficult circumstances, sick, and in distress.
Speaking at the deployment session, Ms. Truong Thi Hoai Giang - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Duy Xuyen Regional Health Center - emphasized: The response and spread of this model is not only practical in terms of material but also contributes to fostering the spirit of solidarity and compassion in each union member and worker; building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization, truly being a reliable support for union members.
Creating resources to care for workers
Previously, at the 2nd (expanded) Executive Committee Conference in 2026, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union launched the program "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing" to 20 affiliated grassroots trade unions, aiming to create resources to support union members in difficult circumstances and continue to spread the spirit of mutual affection.
The program "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing" is an initiative of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union. Ms. Lam Thi Vy - Chairwoman of the Commune Trade Union - said: The program was born in the context that Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, after being established from July 1, 2025, has had many social activities, but does not have many resources, and must mobilize socialization from all levels of government and businesses. Currently, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also sponsors 12 poor students overcoming difficulties who are children of workers in the area.
When launching the program "Trade Union Heo Dat - Accompanying and Sharing", we called for the savings of union members and grassroots trade union organizations, although not much, but it will help the organization have more resources to be more proactive in its activities as well as serve the work of caring for union members and workers in difficult circumstances" - Ms. Vy said.
Wings for dreams
In addition to "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing", Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union also has a model of sponsoring poor students overcoming difficulties with the club "Wings for Dreams - For Children of Union Members and Workers". Currently, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union is sponsoring 12 poor students who are children of union members and workers. Each student is supported with 500,000 VND/month, a total amount of 72 million VND/year, from mobilized funds from companies, businesses, grassroots trade unions and philanthropists.
“Through this model, we want to help reduce difficulties for families, and at the same time create more motivation for children to continue going to school, nurturing dreams of a bright future. In the coming time, we will continue to mobilize resources from grassroots trade unions, individuals and philanthropists to make the program of sponsoring poor students overcoming difficulties more widespread, contributing to caring for and accompanying many orphaned children in particularly difficult circumstances, both materially and spiritually” - Ms. Vy said.
