Speaking at the conference, a representative of the Daeduk Vina Co., Ltd. Trade Union ( DEEP C2B Industrial Park in Dinh Vu - Cat Hai Economic Zone) said that the company will only be in operation from 2024, specializing in the production of wire, electric cables and other electronics. The company has 78 employees, with an average income of 8 million VND/month.
On April 14, the company announced that workers were on hold and said that it would still pay their salaries on May 15. By April 28, workers noticed signs of the business owner fleeing, so they reported to the authorities and the higher-level union. The authorities work with the company's representative, but the company is still committed to paying the workers' salaries on May 15.
However, as of May 15, the workers still did not receive their salary and continued to inform the authorities. The company later said it would pay on May 30. After May 30, workers discovered that the business owner had fled.
It is worth mentioning that at the time of flight, this enterprise owed social insurance from March 2025, so it was difficult for employees to close their social insurance books to find a job at another company.
In response to this incident, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation shared the difficulties with workers. At the same time, direct the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations to coordinate with the Hai Phong Economic Zone Trade Union to grasp the living conditions of workers and propose timely support plans.
On the afternoon of June 18, the City Labor Federation presented support funds to 44 union members of the company, each worth 2 million VND from the Trade Union Shelter Fund.
Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation - said that the Trade Union at all levels always accompanies union members and workers, especially when workers are in difficulty. In addition to the above support fund, the City Labor Federation is coordinating with relevant agencies to resolve problems in the social insurance regime and policies for employees. At the same time, it is recommended that the City People's Committee pay attention to resolving and promptly supporting workers who are lacking jobs due to the employer's flight.
