The working group led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phiet - Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation visited and encouraged Oanh Van Company Limited - a business that has just suffered heavy damage due to the fire.
According to the initial report, the fire was discovered at around 7:40 a.m. on December 14 at the factory area of Oanh Van Company Limited - a company specializing in leather shoe production. By 10:30 a.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control.
The fire did not cause any human casualties. At the time of the fire, the company had no workers at work, only 28 permanent foreign staff (8 absentees had been contacted to confirm safety information, 20 permanent staff had been evacuated in time). Regarding assets, the fire completely burned down 3 factories, 1 warehouse and 1 operator's house with a total area of about 12,000 m2. The value of damage is currently being further counted and verified by the authorities. The cause of the fire is being investigated and clarified according to regulations.
According to the City Labor Federation, Oanh Van Company Limited has 1,200 employees, 330 of whom are union members. According to the schedule, on the morning of December 16, the Company will distribute December 2025 salaries to workers. Currently, the scene of the fire is being sealed off for the authorities to investigate.
At the enterprise, the representative of the City Labor Federation shared with the enterprise that suffered damage due to the fire, hoping that the company would quickly overcome the consequences and restore production. The City Labor Federation presented a budget of 30 million VND to encourage businesses.
The business representative thanked the City Trade Union for their affection, care and encouragement. At the same time, he hoped that the authorities would soon consider resolving the case so that the enterprise could overcome the consequences, reorganize production, and ensure jobs for workers.

Previously, at noon on December 14, the People's Committee of Chan Hung commune held a meeting to deploy the work to overcome the consequences and coordinate after the incident. The Commune People's Committee continues to closely coordinate with authorities in protecting the scene to serve the investigation. At the same time, it guides businesses to count damage, gradually stabilize production activities, support temporary accommodation for foreign experts; maintain forces to ensure security and order and regulate traffic in related areas.
In the dry weather, the People's Committee of Chan Hung commune recommends that agencies, businesses and people raise awareness of fire prevention and fighting, proactively take measures to ensure safety, and limit the risk of fire and explosion in the area.
