Focus on protecting rights
On the afternoon of June 6, the Quang Binh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held the 7th Executive Committee Conference (expanded), term XIX, 2023-2028 to evaluate the results of trade union work in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
Chairwoman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan emphasized: "The more the organization of the apparatus is reorganized, the more clearly the trade union must demonstrate its role as a representative, a real care, and a close protection for workers".
In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels in the province have organized many practical care activities, supporting more than 5.7 billion VND for union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor directly supported over 4.1 billion VND for 7,390 union members; built new and repaired 80 "Union Shelters" worth 2.82 billion VND. Many other meaningful activities such as "Union Market", giving gifts, ao dai, health check-ups... have contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.
Representative and rights protection work continues to be implemented synchronously. The whole province has 205 collective labor agreements in effect, of which 20 have been newly signed, reaching 100% of the plan.
The rate of organizing periodic dialogues at the workplace reached 73.89%, many units have adjusted the value of shift meals according to the recommendation of the General Confederation. Legal supervision and consultation work has also been promoted, with no collective work stoppages occurring.

Regarding organizational development, in the first 6 months of the year, the province established 6 new grassroots unions, admitting 101 union members. Although the number of union members has decreased slightly due to labor fluctuations, the work of consolidating and training the union staff is still of interest with 495 people being trained and fostered. Emulation movements such as "Good workers, Creative workers", "Union members follow Uncle Ho's words", "Building new rural areas" continue to be widely launched.
Digital transformation, organizational arrangement
At the conference, Chairman of the Labor Federation of the Provincial Football Federation Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan requested the whole system to focus on implementing 12 key targets and 9 major task groups in the last 6 months of the year, notably: Improving the quality of collective negotiation, continuing to participate in suggestions to build laws, coordinate the handling of insurance debt enterprises, prepare well the program to take care of the 2026 Tet holiday and deploy the district -level union dissolution project.
Along with that, digital transformation, administrative reform, and building a streamlined and effective trade union organization are identified as strategic tasks. Accordingly, the Provincial Federation of Labor will complete the model of 3 specialized departments, continue to merge industry unions, and prepare conditions for handing over finance - assets during the merger process.
Ms. Ngoc Lan also emphasized that trade unions at all levels need to further promote their role as analysts and policy advisers related to workers, while promoting propaganda on major political events and anniversaries of the country such as the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
More than ever, the trade union organization must truly be a support, a voice of workers in times of many fluctuations, said Ms. Dinh Thi Ngoc Lan.
