On June 6, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) held the 6th (expanded) Executive Committee Conference, term XI, 2023 - 2028.
According to the Can Tho City Labor Federation, since the beginning of the year, the labor relations situation has been harmonious and stable. The number of workers returning to work after Tet is high, preventing disruptions in the supply chain.
The City Labor Federation has implemented the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" program, with many activities to care for union members and workers (DV, NLD) in difficult circumstances. As a result, the Trade Unions at all levels presented 102,691 fruits with a total amount of over 37 billion VND to union members and employees to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.
The work of mobilizing grassroots trade unions to contribute to the Golden Heart Fund was guaranteed with the amount of 1.252 billion VND. At the same time, consider supporting the construction and repair of new Trade Union Shelters, with an amount of over 1 billion VND; providing difficulties to 11 union members with serious illnesses, with a total amount of 25 million VND; giving 50 school packages to students who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with a total value of 25 million VND.
Trade unions at all levels visited and presented gifts to 284 union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers (CNVCLD) who were hospitalized and their families in difficult circumstances with the amount of 99.2 million VND; strongly mobilized donors to support 10 bicycles and 20 gifts to students in difficult circumstances in Thoi Lai district.
The City Labor Federation launched emulation movements, focusing on "Good workers, Creative workers". Accordingly, trade unions at all levels have registered to implement 3,155 topics, initiatives, experiences and 161 emulation works and products.
The city established 2 grassroots unions, developing 2,853 new units. The total number of grassroots trade unions is currently 1,195 grassroots trade unions with 89,859 union members. The City Labor Federation awarded emulation flags to 3 collectives with outstanding achievements in leading emulation clusters and blocks and awarded Certificates of Merit to 46 collectives and 125 individuals with outstanding achievements in building a strong Trade Union organization.
In the coming time, the city union will strengthen propaganda, mobilize the development of union members and establish a grassroots trade union; Introducing the elite union members for the Party to consider admission. At the same time, continue to implement socialization in trade union activities, support trade unions; visiting union members and employees suffering from serious illnesses; awarding scholarships to children of workers; recognize the attachment of emulation works to trade unions; timely reward for organizations and individuals with outstanding achievements in trade union activities in 2025 ....
