On February 13, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) and the Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Trade Union organized a groundbreaking ceremony to build a Union Shelter for union member Nguyen Minh Hung (worker of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company) in Thanh Duc ward, Binh Minh town, Vinh Long province.
This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance, and the concern of the Trade Union at all levels for the lives of union members and workers. From there, it helps them stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind and complete their assigned tasks well.
It is known that the house of the male worker Nguyen Minh Hung's family has seriously degraded, the structure is not guaranteed but there are no conditions to repair it. Realizing these difficulties, the Can Tho City Labor Federation and the Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Trade Union have promptly provided support to help the union member's family overcome the housing difficulties.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Permanent Vice President of Can Tho City Labor Federation Huynh Thi Hien represented the Golden Heart Charitable Social Fund in Can Tho to donate 50 million VND to support union members' families to build the Union Shelter.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Standing Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation said that every year, in addition to the Trade Union Shelter, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund in Can Tho also supports workers in difficult circumstances, those suffering from serious illnesses, and those who have had work-related accidents; grants scholarships to children of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers who overcome difficulties to study well, and many other activities.
As a union member who started the construction of the first shelter in the new year 2025, the Standing Vice President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation shared his joy and wished that Mr. Hung could stabilize his life, strive to produce and actively participate in activities organized by the Union.
Sharing the joy with Mr. Hung, Mr. Toshiyuki Ishii - General Director of Hau Giang Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - sent his congratulations to the male worker's family and sincere thanks to the Can Tho City Labor Federation for caring about the lives of union members and workers at the company. In the coming time, Mr. Toshiyuki Ishii hopes that the Can Tho City Labor Federation will continue to care for and accompany the company in taking care of the lives of union members and workers.
