Completing many important contents in the first working session

On the morning of June 3, in Hanoi, the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031, held its first working session.

Attending the first working session were: Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the VGCL Nguyen Anh Tuan; Standing Vice President of the VGCL Thai Thu Xuong; Vice Presidents of the VGCL: Ngo Duy Hieu, Phan Van Anh, Nguyen Xuan Hung; 780 outstanding delegates representing the intelligence and aspirations of more than 10 million union members nationwide.

This is a major political event, a historical milestone opening a new, stronger and more courageous stage of development for the working class and the national Trade Union organization. The first session completed a large volume of work, showing scientific, serious preparation and high sense of responsibility to all union members and workers nationwide.

In the first working session, the Congress carried out important procedural steps in accordance with the principles of democracy and the regulations of the Charter of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour. The Congress unanimously elected 27 members to participate in the Presidium to run the Congress. The Congress also elected the Secretariat and the Appraisal Board for Congress delegate qualifications...

Next, the Congress voted to approve the Working Program for the entire Congress and the Working Regulations of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, establishing a legal corridor and scientific and strict working principles for all delegates attending.

Right in this working session, the Delegate Qualification Appraisal Board reported the appraisal results, affirming the legality and standards of the delegates representing the voice, thoughts and aspirations of more than 10 million union members across the country to attend the Congress...

Also on the morning of June 3, on the eve of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, delegates attending the congress visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

The delegation respectfully offered wreaths to pay respects to Uncle Ho. The delegation's wreath bears the words "Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh".

In the sacred moment, the delegation expressed their respect and remembrance for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader, National Liberation Hero, the founder and trainer of the Communist Party of Vietnam - the vanguard of the working class, the working people and the Vietnamese nation.

Next, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and delegates attending the congress laid wreaths at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street (Hanoi).

The delegation's wreath bears the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs".

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates bowed to commemorate the outstanding children of the nation who bravely fought, sacrificed, and dedicated their lives to the cause of struggle for independence, freedom, and national reunification.
