Learning from Uncle Ho from small things
In the list of 4 collectives and individuals of the Da Nang City Labor Federation commended by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as advanced examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of U World Sports Vietnam Co., Ltd. (under the Trade Union of Chien Dan commune, Da Nang city), is a face that leaves many emotions.
The emotions because of Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly's achievements do not come from too large models, but from actions very close to the lives of union members and workers at U World Sports Vietnam Co., Ltd.
For example, when a union member has cancer and faces financial difficulties, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly stands out to launch a donation campaign. When a worker has end-stage kidney disease, the head of the Trade Union continues to call for support. When workers have their houses damaged by tornadoes or are deeply flooded by rain and floods, the head of the Trade Union finds ways to connect and provide timely support...
The amounts raised from the above programs are usually not too large, only a few million to tens of millions of VND, but for union members and workers in extremely difficult circumstances, it is an invaluable spiritual support.
Those spiritual supports show that studying and following Uncle Ho is not something far-fetched. For Trade Union officials, learning from Uncle Ho sometimes starts from knowing and grasping the circumstances of each union member and worker to be present, visit, and encourage them when they need it most.
For me, learning and following Uncle Ho must start from the smallest things. As a Trade Union official, the most important thing is to be close to the workers, understand what they need to provide timely support. When workers are in difficulty and we are present, even just a word of encouragement or a small connection, they will feel that we are not left behind" - Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly shared.
Tree" of business initiatives
Not only representing the Trade Union organization in caring for her union members and workers, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly also learned from Uncle Ho about good mobilization, when standing up to organize the "Trade Union Year-end Meal" on the occasion of the recent Lunar New Year.
The purpose is to create conditions for union members and workers to enjoy meals in a friendly atmosphere with business leaders and trade union executive committees. And in the meal, union members and workers can propose, petition, and express their wishes and aspirations to representatives of the participating parties.
Regarding personal activities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Ly is also a "tree" of initiatives with many initiatives and solutions that bring practical efficiency to businesses.
Typically in 2024, Ms. Ly developed the initiative "Application of salary calculation software to improve the efficiency of salary management and protect workers' rights" which was recognized by company leaders as effective and applied. This is a highly practical initiative, suitable for the organization's function of representing, caring for and protecting workers' rights.
In 2025, Ms. Ly built the initiative "Improving the efficiency of warehouse management" which was recognized and applied by the company's leaders as effective. This is an initiative on warehouse management, a practical solution, suitable to the actual conditions of the unit, contributing to improving the efficiency of asset management and use.
Ms. Ly's initiatives are not only recognized by unit leaders and applied to the reality of businesses, contributing to improving overall efficiency but also making practical contributions to improving work efficiency and spreading the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho in the unit.
