On June 3, the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) held a conference to review the movement of workers and civil servants and trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, and summarize the Workers' Month in 2025.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the Trade Union of Ben Tre Province has made efforts to contribute to the implementation of the basic targets and goals of 60% or more. The apparatus of the provincial Labor Federation according to the model from 6 rooms, the board has 3 rooms and boards. In addition, the dissolution of 3 units, including health unions, provincial officials and employees, and provincial education unions. In addition, 2 new units have been established, including the Union of the Provincial Party Agencies and the Provincial People's Committee Trade Union.
Care activities are implemented synchronously from the province to the grassroots level, especially a series of activities to care for union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year with a total budget of more than 150 billion VND. Socialization has been mobilized and 19 houses have been built from the Trade Union Shelter Fund with a budget of more than 1.2 billion VND. The "Back of Workers" program has achieved many outstanding results after 2 years of implementation, so far 98 union members and workers have escaped poverty.

Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial Labor Federation - proposed to continue implementing the next steps of the Project on dissolution of the superior trade union directly at the grassroots level, dissolved the grassroots trade unions of non -business administrative agencies to receive 100% of the salary from the state budget and transfer the grassroots trade unions to the province to the province under the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
With the sense of responsibility, determination and tradition of solidarity of the Ben Tre Trade Union, I believe that we will overcome all difficulties, adapt quickly to the new organizational model, to continue to affirm the core role of the Trade Union in protecting workers and contributing to the development of the province, said Mr. Linh.

On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Ben Tre Provincial Federation of Labor decided to reward 6 collectives with outstanding achievements in the Workers' Month in 2025, including: Office, Professional Department, Organizing - Inspection Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor; Labor Federations of Giong Trom, Chau Thanh and Cho Lach districts.
