According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in 2025, in the context of intertwined advantages and difficulties, there will be turning points, with the efforts and determination of the team of union officials, union members, and workers, union activities will continue to have positive changes.
In addition to maintaining and improving the quality of activities and tasks periodically and regularly, trade unions at all levels have focused on streamlining the apparatus, organizing trade union congresses at all levels, preparing the contents of the organization of the 14th Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; actively participating in building and perfecting legal mechanisms and policies to ensure the role of trade union organizations in the new development stage.
At the same time, the trade union launched emulation movements, implemented in response to campaigns, aroused the spirit of innovation and creativity of union members and workers in labor and production, practically achieved achievements to celebrate the country's important anniversaries, welcomed party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress, trade union congresses at all levels towards the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, creating a solid foundation for trade union activities in 2026 and the 2026 - 2031 term.
Responding to emulation movements launched by the Trade Union, union members and workers nationwide actively compete in labor production, implementing more than 186,000 initiatives and applications in practice with a total profit value of VND 17,503 billion, contributing to improving labor productivity, work efficiency, promoting the practice of thrift, fighting waste, achieving practical achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party, Patriotic Emulation Congresses at all levels, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
In order to arouse the spirit of patriotic emulation, create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, encourage and motivate union members and workers nationwide to strive, contribute, and practically celebrate the country's important events, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor launched a patriotic emulation movement in 2026 with the theme: Union members and workers compete in Innovation - Promoting digital transformation - Improving productivity and efficiency; bringing the resolutions of the Party, the Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Trade Union into life.
The emulation movement is organized in 2 phases. Phase 1 (from January 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026) and Phase 2 (From July 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026).
To effectively implement the emulation movement in 2026, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang has proposed the Standing Committee and the Emulation Council for Reward of provincial and municipal labor federations, central industry unions, economic corporation unions, general corporation unions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, based on the Plan of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and practical conditions to develop plans, organize response, launch emulation movements according to each group of subjects; specify the content and form of organizing emulation movements in accordance with reality; develop practical emulation criteria and content, closely following the political tasks and key tasks at the local level, units, and sectors, organize emulation to complete the tasks set for 2026, and exceed the emulation tasks.
Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang called on all union cadres and union members and workers nationwide to unite, join hands, be unanimous, strive to compete with the highest determination to strive to excellently complete assigned tasks and work, contributing to building the working class and the union organization to grow stronger, bringing the country to strong development in the new era.
