The company has mobilized 100% of its forces, mobilized all equipment, means, and tools for natural disaster prevention, arranged a standby force ready to meet the requirements of clearing fallen trees and broken branches caused by storm No. 3, from 5:00 p.m. on September 6 with a workforce of about 570 people; 63 vehicles, machines of all kinds, chainsaws, hand saws, other tools and equipment to serve the clearance of fallen trees and broken branches.
On the morning of September 8, the company mobilized all staff to indirectly coordinate with workers and related units to clear up fallen tree branches obstructing traffic in areas around Phan Dinh Phung Street, Nguyen Canh Chan Street, Hoan Kiem Lake area, Ly Thai To, Le Lai, Bao Khanh monuments, etc.
By 3:00 p.m. on September 8, the company had cleared and ensured the road was clear for over 30% of fallen trees and broken branches. The company's units have been and are continuing to inspect, review and approach the scene at the locations of fallen trees and broken branches to clear and clear traffic on the streets, clean up the scene and ensure environmental sanitation.
Workers strain to overcome the consequences
On the afternoon of September 8, Hanoi was still having heavy rain. Chairman of the Hanoi Labor Federation Pham Quang Thanh and his delegation braved the rain and went directly to the scene to encourage and give gifts to construction workers (drainage, environmental sanitation, lighting, trees).
At the destinations (Nhat Chieu Street - Tay Ho District; Hang Chao Street - Dong Da District; Phan Dinh Phung Street - Ba Dinh District; Dinh Tien Hoang Street - Hoan Kiem District), leaders of the Hanoi City Trade Union and union officials shared the difficulties and hardships of workers who are struggling to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
“I learned that since 5am on September 8, there were people who braved the rain to come to the scene to deal with the consequences of the historic storm. They handled thousands of fallen trees, collected thousands of tons of garbage, cleared the flow, ensured light… so that the roads and street corners of Hanoi are bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe,” said Mr. Pham Quang Thanh.
The Chairman of the Hanoi City Labor Federation has requested the leaders of the units to continue to mobilize 100% of the forces and means and equipment to handle and resolve the remaining cases. Along with that, it is necessary to encourage and take good care of meals and allowances during peak times, especially ensuring occupational safety and hygiene for cadres and workers.
