Many flexible ways of doing things, closely following the grassroots
On June 25, leaders of the Lam Dong Department of Health said that the health sector is strengthening inspection and on-site supervision of free health check-ups in localities.

Through records, regional health centers have proactively developed plans, fully prepared human resources, equipment and medical supplies to serve examination and screening.
The organizational process is scientifically arranged, creating favorable conditions for people to access services.
Many health stations advise the People's Committees of communes and wards to issue plans for the 2026 - 2030 period, and at the same time flexibly implement them in accordance with reality.
Some places also integrate examinations for children under 6 years old with the program of taking Vitamin A, vermifuging, and improving implementation efficiency.

Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh - Chairman of Da Huoai 3 Commune People's Committee - said that although it is a remote and isolated area with more than 6,700 people, mainly ethnic minorities, thanks to the involvement of the entire political system, the villages have directly gone to each household to mobilize participation. Thanks to that, the rate of health check-ups for children under 6 years old has reached more than 82%.
Many target groups are still low
Besides the positive results, the progress of health check-ups in many target groups is still slow.
The rate of examination for groups from 6-18 years old at regional health centers has only reached about 55%. Phu Quy special zone alone reached 88.9% thanks to early deployment before the summer vacation.
Mr. Duong Tin Phuc - Director of the Military-Civilian Medical Center of Phu Quy Special Zone - said that the unit has deployed examinations since mid-May and basically completed the targets, only supplementary examinations are left at the beginning of the new school year.

However, replicating the model is difficult because it coincides with the time when students are on summer vacation, many children go far away or return to their hometowns, while parents in remote and isolated areas are busy making a living, so it is difficult to take their children for examination.
Notably, the examination rate in priority groups such as the elderly, people with disabilities, poor households and ethnic minorities is still very low.

According to Mr. Le Van Tien - Director of Lam Dong Hospital II, the group of students achieved over 80%, while the priority groups were only under 10%.
Although 2 mobile examination teams have been established with a capacity of 2,500 - 3,000 visits/day, in reality, only a few dozen people come for examination each day, showing that a part of the population does not pay due attention to periodic health check-ups.
Determination to achieve goals
To accelerate progress, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province requires completing health check-ups for 50% of the population in the first 6 months of the year and reaching 100% in 2026. The results of implementation will be included in the year-end emulation criteria.

The Department of Health is assigned to mobilize maximum human resources, organize mobile examinations outside of working hours and on holidays; the Department of Home Affairs urges businesses to complete examinations for employees in June 2026; the Department of Education and Training coordinates to manage the list of students.
As of 2 pm on June 22, the rate of health check-ups in the whole province only reached about 14%.
However, some localities have achieved high results in the children under 6 years old group such as Nam Da 95.7%, Dong Giang 87.7% and Da Huoai 81.7%.
The health sector expects that with the synchronous involvement of all levels, sectors and localities, the campaign will be accelerated in the coming time, contributing to improving the quality of people's health care, early detection of diseases and reducing the burden of long-term treatment.
