On the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), the Da Nang City Labor Federation recently organized many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Notable among them are the Union Meal program and the health check-up program for female workers in industrial parks in the area.
At the Branch of Chin Huei Industrial Park Joint Stock Company in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park (Lien Chieu Ward), the City Labor Federation coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union to organize a Trade Union Meal for 384 workers. The quality of each meal is improved thanks to the support of more than 11.5 million VND from union financial resources and socialization, equivalent to 30,000 VND per meal.
The meal was carefully organized, with adequate nutrition, ensuring food hygiene and safety, giving workers a warm and complete lunch. This activity demonstrates the deep concern of the Trade Union organization for workers' lives, while aiming at the goal of building a strong grassroots Trade Union organization and long-term welfare programs.
Mr. Tran Van Do - a worker working at the Company - shared: "We are very happy to have a full and neat meal organized by the union like this. The feeling of care and listening motivates the workers to work. The meal was not only delicious but also warmthening".
In addition to material value, the program is also an opportunity for union officials, union members and workers to exchange and share their thoughts and aspirations in life and work, thereby enhancing the cohesion between members in the enterprise. The City Labor Federation also presented 10 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and supporting workers to overcome difficulties.
At the same time, the Da Nang City Labor Federation coordinated with the City Center for Disease Control to implement a periodic health check-up program for 900 female union members and workers in industrial parks. The program is divided into two phases from July 28 to August 8, for union members in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Hoa Khanh Expansion and Hoa Cam and the Southern Industrial Parks.
Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation Ho Thi Lan Huong emphasized: Caring for the material, spiritual and health lives of workers is always a continuous task of the Trade Union organization. Through activities such as Union Meals or regular health check-ups, we hope that employees will clearly feel the companionship and sharing from the union, thereby being more secure, attached and contributing long-term to the business".
