Khanh Hoa spends more than 77 hectares to build accommodation for workers in industrial parks

Khanh Hoa - Industrial parks are creating jobs for about 39,000 workers, but in the opposite direction, the number of accommodation for workers is still extremely limited.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hiep and her husband have been working as workers at an seafood processing company in Suoi Dau Industrial Park, in Cam Lam commune, Khanh Hoa province for more than 10 years.

Because their house is more than 60km from their workplace, Ms. Hiep and her husband have to rent a room near the industrial park to conveniently go to work. Each month, the cost of renting a house, electricity and water is about 2.5 million VND. To save money, she chose small rental houses with poor living conditions to live in.

Ms. Hiep said that over the years, I have heard about housing projects for workers at preferential prices. However, I have not seen implementation yet.

"I really hope to have a quality accommodation area, good security, and suitable prices so that workers living far away can work with peace of mind," Ms. Hiep expressed.
