The working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Permanent Vice President Thai Thu Xuong conducted a survey and assessment of the implementation of propaganda, political, ideological and legal education for workers at the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) on the morning of July 18.
Also attending the survey were representatives of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
Millions of workers are propagandized and educated about politics, ideology, and law
A report by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that Ho Chi Minh City currently has nearly 2.54 million union members. The majority of workers in Ho Chi Minh City come from all over to live and work, so most of them work overtime to increase their income to cover their living expenses.
In the past 5 years, Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels have organized nearly 12,850 meetings with more than 3.2 million employees participating in conferences to disseminate, deploy, propagate, contest, training programs, fostering and coaching to improve their educational and skills qualifications.
In particular, the propaganda programs have reached more than 1 million workers every year, of which 85% of workers in industrial parks and export processing zones participate in courses on social skills, labor safety and law.

Every year, Ho Chi Minh City trade unions at all levels have developed plans and organized dissemination, implementation, propaganda, and dissemination of laws to over 2.5 million cadres, union members, and employees, especially the Trade Union Law, the Labor Code, the Employment Law, the Labor Safety and Hygiene Law, the Health Insurance Law; the Social Insurance Law, fire prevention and fighting, methods and tricks of fraud, property appropriation, and crime prevention related to black credit.
The close coordination between the trade union organization and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the city's departments, branches and unions, the consensus in supporting and voluntarily improving the political qualifications and legal understanding of workers, has created a syndicated strength, created a synchronous, responsible and effective coordination in the implementation, dissemination and implementation work with rapid changes, the spread of positive information has been strengthened and maintained regularly.

The opinions of grassroots union officials show that whether in state-owned or non-state enterprises, enterprises are interested in propaganda, political, ideological and legal education for workers, and wherever they do this well, workers better understand the Party's policies and the State's laws on caring for the lives and jobs of workers and laborers, should limit labor disputes, workers are attached to each other, with more enterprises, and have higher labor productivity.
Timely grasp the concerns of workers to have appropriate propaganda measures
Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that education, propaganda, political, ideological and legal education for workers is very important because when workers are "com fluent", they can solve problems, stabilize jobs, life, security, safety, and social order.
Ms. Loan also believes that it is necessary to be flexible in propaganda and education to suit the qualifications and awareness of workers, requiring union officials to have capacity, courage and enthusiasm, applying technology and artificial intelligence in propaganda work.

Speaking at the survey, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong highly appreciated the results of the Ho Chi Minh City Confederation of Labor, the coordination of all levels in propaganda, political, ideological education, and legal education for workers, thereby creating a positive change among workers when implementing the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and legal awareness among workers.
Emphasizing the urgency and long-term nature of propaganda and education on politics, ideology and law for workers, Ms. Thai Thu Xuong suggested that the Ho Chi Minh City trade union organization should continue to replicate the good model, effective and specific approaches of Ho Chi Minh City, diversify models and approaches, and strengthen coordination with socio-political organizations to expand propaganda on political, ideological and legal education for workers.
Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong also noted that the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union should quickly stabilize the organization, assign tasks to cadres to promptly grasp the aspirations of union members, workers, the employment situation of enterprises after the merger of localities and promptly grasp bad and toxic information to take appropriate counter-offending and propaganda measures.
