Streamlining the apparatus for effective operation
Implementing the policies and resolutions of the Party and State on streamlining the apparatus, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation has developed a project to reorganize and merge the Hai Phong City Labor Federation and the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Federation.
Accordingly, the following committees will be merged from 5 committees including the Office, the Organizing - Inspection Committee, the Finance Committee, the Propaganda Department for Women, the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, with 2 committees: the Trade Union Working Committee and the Economic Zone Trade Union Committee.
Regarding public service units, the Federation of Labor plans to keep the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. The Hai Phong City Labor Legal Consulting and Support Center and the Hai Duong Provincial Labor Union Consulting and Support Center (old) merged, renamed the Hai Phong City Labor Legal Consulting and Support Center. The Hai Phong Labor Federation's Poor Workers' Capital Support Fund will be transferred to this Center.
The old Hai Duong Labor Federation Social Fund was merged into the Hai Phong City Labor Federation Trade Union Shelter Fund, named the Hai Phong Labor Federation Trade Union Shelter Fund... The Organizing - Inspection Committee of the City Labor Federation has developed a project to establish 17 commune, ward and special-zone trade unions according to the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, and is waiting for approval.
Regarding the payroll, after deducting retired and transferred cadres, the City Labor Federation has 83 people. The unit plans to use the number of civil servants, public employees, and employees and implement staff streamlining in conjunction with restructuring and improving the quality of the team according to the roadmap, ensuring that within 5 years, the number of staff is basically implemented in accordance with the regulations of competent authorities.
The arrangement of staff and employees in the agency has carried out follow-up work, ensuring that the agency is put into operation immediately, without leaving gaps in time or interruptions in tasks. The arrangement of management leaders is carried out according to the decentralization of cadre management.
Directing activities to the grassroots level, improving the ability to gather union members
The rearrangement of the model and organization has been actively implemented by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation to ensure the leadership of the Party, strongly orient the grassroots activities, and overcome the situation of institutionalization in all activities. At the same time, improve the ability to gather and mobilize union members and workers.
According to statistics from the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, after the merger, the City Labor Federation has 2,969 grassroots unions with nearly 600,000 union members in 114 communes, wards and towns. The total number of employees in the city is 621,365 people.

After the merger, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation, building an increasingly strong organization, truly a reliable support for union members, workers and employees. At the same time, it plays a good role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the workers, contributing to creating a stable social consensus in the development process.
Right before the merger event, the City Labor Federation organized a Union Members' Day with the participation of more than 2,000 employees of the new Hai Phong City.
