On the afternoon of January 13, the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor held a meeting to summarize trade union activities in 2024 and deploy tasks for 2025. Currently, the total number of workers, civil servants, and employees at units with trade unions in Binh Thuan province is 83,151 people, including 80,700 union members.
Looking back at 2024, labor relations in the province were stable, with no labor disputes leading to strikes or collective work stoppages and causing disorder. The provincial trade union established 30 grassroots unions, recruiting 9,097 new union members, including 21 non-state grassroots unions, 8 informal grassroots unions and 1 state-owned grassroots union.
Last year, 25 "Union Shelters" houses were supported with funding for construction and repair for union members with difficult housing circumstances, with a total value of 920 million VND...
Mr. Do Huu Quy - Chairman of Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation emphasized that Binh Thuan trade union activities in 2024 have focused on the grassroots level, with many practical and effective activities bearing the mark and color of the trade union organization. Since then, workers and civil servants have actively participated in labor emulation movements, been creative, achieved many results, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
On this occasion, one grassroots union received the emulation flag and 20 collectives and individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. 10 collectives received the emulation flag from the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor. These are collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in union activities in 2024.
Representatives of the direct superior trade unions and the departments of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor also signed the emulation agreement for 2025.
