According to the weather forecast in Lai Chau province, on the night of January 16 and early this morning (January 17), the temperature in most areas will be at 7-9 degrees Celsius; in high mountainous areas such as Sin Ho and Tam Duong districts, the temperature will be at 3-5 degrees Celsius. At the top of O Quy Ho pass (Tam Duong district), a thin layer of snow and ice has appeared.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, a representative of the Rong May Glass Bridge tourist area said: "This morning, ice and snow appeared and the sea of ​​clouds appeared. It was not until noon that the ice and snow completely melted."

Previously, on January 12, due to the influence of cold air from the North, the temperature at the top of O Quy Ho pass dropped to near 0 degrees, ice and snow covered the hills and the treetops were frozen.

At the same time, in the area of ​​Tram Ton mountain, Thac Bac and Ta Phin commune on O Quy Ho pass (in Lao Cai province), the temperature also dropped to 0 degrees Celsius, causing frost to appear and cover roofs and trees.
