On May 20, Hue City Labor Federation coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union of Hue City Youth and Children Center to organize the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the "Trade Union Shelter" house for union member Huynh Ngoc Dung in Workers' Month 2026.
For many years, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Dung's family with 4 members has had to live in a small house about 20m2. The life of the whole family mainly depends on Mr. Dung's meager civil servant salary, while his wife does not have a stable job.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, representatives of Hue City Labor Federation and units encouraged and shared difficulties with union member Huynh Ngoc Dung's family, and at the same time wished that the new house would help his family soon stabilize their lives, feel secure in their work and raise their children.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Quy - Head of Trade Union Affairs Committee, Vice Chairman of Hue City Labor Federation; Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Director of Hue City Youth and Children Center and representatives of relevant units.
The "Trade Union Shelter" program is a deeply humane activity, maintained by trade union levels for many years to support union members in difficult housing circumstances. Thereby contributing to adding motivation for workers to overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and stick to work.
