Many sources of bonuses for Tet
In Tan Hiep ward, Cua It Aoa Industrial Company Limited operates in the field of export wooden furniture production with over 1,000 workers. At the end of the year, the company maintains orders and production plans, thereby stabilizing jobs and income for workers.
Mr. Lam Tan Tai (43 years old, from Dong Thap, working at Asia Italian option Technology Co., Ltd.) said that his job this year is relatively stable, earning over 10 million VND/month.
"My wife and I have been working as workers in Ho Chi Minh City for nearly 10 years. Each month, the couple earns about 20 million VND. We expect the company to pay Tet bonuses early at the end of the year to have more money to cover expenses" - Mr. Tai shared.
According to Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cua It Asia Technology Co., Ltd., the company has just had a reward for workers who have completed their work well. Accordingly, the company has rewarded each worker with 500,000 VND. The bonus for each employee who is a cadre or manager is from 1.6 - 3 million VND.
Regarding Tet bonuses, the Trade Union also discussed with the Board of Directors of the company to soon publicize the Tet bonus plan so that employees can feel secure in production. This year, the company is expected to have both New Year and Lunar New Year bonuses. The Tet bonus will depend on the employee's commitment and work efficiency. The average Tet bonus is over 1 month's basic salary. New employees who have worked for 2 months can receive a bonus of 4 million VND, from 4-6 years or more on average will receive over 9 million VND.
"In addition to Tet bonuses, the company also organizes other welfare programs. For example, organizing a sports festival before the New Year, near the Lunar New Year, organizes the All-year Festival. Notably, every year there is a lucky draw with many attractive gifts. Almost all workers have gifts of about 600,000 VND/person. The Trade Union also gave Tet gifts to all union members" - Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Cua Y Ahoa Technology Company Limited informed.
Enterprises give Tet bonuses, trade unions take care of Tet for disadvantaged workers
Meanwhile, Hung Kiu Vietnam Garment Company Limited - Phu Chanh Industrial Cluster (Binh Duong Ward) also plans to give employees a Tet bonus of one month's basic salary. The enterprise and the Trade Union also deploy the giving of bus and train tickets to workers returning to their hometowns. The grassroots trade union also organizes Tet gifts and welfare activities.
Mr. Vu Thong Hiep - Chairman of the Trade Union of Hung Kiu Vietnam Garment Company Limited - said that the company currently has a plan to give Tet bonuses and Tet holidays to employees. The Tet bonus will be equivalent to 1 month's basic salary.
"All workers have 11 days off for Tet, during which time, workers with hometown far away will be more relaxed to arrange their travel" - Mr. Hiep said.
In Di An ward, Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has about 7,000 workers. This year, the employment and income of workers are also relatively stable.
Regarding Tet bonuses, Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the Trade Union - said that last year, all employees with a working period of 1 year or more will receive 2 months' salary including basic salary and regular allowances. This year, the Trade Union has also made recommendations on Tet bonuses for employees. However, the company's leaders are continuing to discuss. It is expected that by December 20, the company will publicly disclose information about Tet bonuses for employees.
Meanwhile, the Trade Union is also implementing a plan to take care of Tet for workers.
Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung said that the unit is reviewing and grasping the living conditions of workers. The union and the company will have policies to take care of workers in difficulty, sick, or having accidents. Notably, this year the company continues to organize bus trips to take workers from far away home for Tet.
