On July 17, Yen Bai Ward Trade Union held the first Executive Committee meeting.
At the Conference, Ms. Trieu Thi Thu Nga - Head of the Organization and Inspection Department of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to establish the Yen Bai Ward Labor Union; the decision to appoint the Executive Committee; Standing Committee; Chairman; Vice Chairman of the Yen Bai Ward Labor Union, term 2025-2028.
Specifically, appoint Mr. Tran Quoc Toan - Head of the Department of Legal Policy and Labor Relations, Provincial Labor Federation to hold the position of Chairman of the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union. Ms. Thinh Thanh Hoa holds the position of Vice Chairman of the ward union.
Yen Bai Ward Trade Union is a trade union organization with 94 grassroots trade unions, with more than 3,000 union members.
Yen Bai ward is a unit established after the merger of Nguyen Thai Hoc, Dong Tam, Yen Ninh, Minh Tan wards and Hong Ha ward, Yen Bai city, the old Yen Bai province.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation highly appreciated the efforts of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the ward union.
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that as soon as the conference ended, the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Ward Trade Union should review the number of grassroots trade unions and the number of grassroots union members.
Note for public service units and units that have been merged or dissolved, in order to stabilize the organization, not to interrupt the activities of trade unions and the rights of union members and workers.
Urgently instruct grassroots trade unions at all levels to engrave seals and open accounts so that the Provincial Labor Federation can transfer operating funds back in accordance with regulations.
In addition, it is necessary to soon stabilize the organization and personnel, and fully prepare all conditions for the grassroots Trade Union Congress.
Mr. Nguyen Chuong Phat - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation added that after the merger, there are currently 3 ward unions in the area, including Au Lau ward union; Yen Bai ward union and Nghia Lo ward union.
In addition, 4 commune trade unions, including Tran Yen commune trade union, Luc Yen trade union, Yen Binh commune trade union, Mau A commune trade union will soon be consolidated and established a number of more trade union organizations in Sa Pa and Lao Cai ward.
The conference approved the working regulations of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Yen Bai Ward Trade Union. Launch the emulation movement "The whole country competes in innovation and digital transformation" and "Digital learning environment" at all levels of trade unions launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
