Quang Tri - Workers are excited to receive the news of increasing the regional minimum wage, hoping to improve their income and stay at work longer.

motivation to stick with the profession

The National Wage Council proposed to increase the regional minimum wage by 7.2% from January 1, 2026. The information that the regional minimum wage will be adjusted to increase by 7.2% has made many workers unable to hide their excitement mixed with hope.

Mr. Tran Nhu Trinh - a worker at a rubber latex processing factory under Viet Trung Quang Binh Joint Stock Company - said that this news came to him as a new source of motivation.

Having been with the company for 17 years, he understands better than anyone the value of a monthly salary.

I was really happy to hear about the salary increase. Salary is an important support for me to take care of my family and children. The increase partly compensates for the increasingly high cost of living. I will continue to try to stay with the job longer, Trinh expressed.

Mr. Trinh's thoughts are also the thoughts of many other workers. For them, the minimum wage is not just a number, but also a concern of the State, a commitment to protect the rights of employers, especially in the context of many economic difficulties.

Mr. Trinh added that at Viet Trung Rubber Company, salaries are always paid in full, and social benefits are properly cared for. That has helped him and his colleagues work with peace of mind, not worrying about unpaid wages.

"We know that the company is also trying to maintain production, so when we heard that the salary would be increased, everyone was happy. That is the motivation for us to make more efforts, he said.

Caring for workers

Mr. Phan Van Thanh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Viet Trung Quang Binh Joint Stock Company - frankly acknowledged: "We are facing great pressure on production costs. But no matter how difficult it is, the rights of workers must still be guaranteed".

According to Mr. Thanh, salary increase is not only an obligation but also a way for businesses to affirm their social responsibility and retain employees who have worked tirelessly and accompanied the company through many fluctuations.

Many workers still expressed their hope that the upcoming minimum wage adjustment will be truly linked to controlling market prices. Because if salaries are increased but prices of essential goods are also increased simultaneously, real income will not improve much.

To cope with this challenge, businesses such as Viet Trung Joint Stock Company are gradually innovating governance, promoting digital transformation to save costs and increase productivity.

The reasonabling of personnel and arranging production lines are considered an important solution to maintain operational efficiency, while creating conditions for workers to enjoy a stable income, more suitable for their efforts.

Mr. Thanh commented that in the story of increasing regional minimum wages, it can be clearly seen that a common point is that the expectations of workers are not only in the increase in numbers, but also in the way businesses and the State continue to accompany to protect their rights, build a fair and civilized working environment.
