In Lam Dong, workers, civil servants, and laborers are working in many fields such as high-tech agriculture, tourism, services, renewable energy, education, healthcare and agricultural production and processing enterprises.

This poses a requirement that trade union activities must be increasingly close to the grassroots level, practical and more effective.
According to Ms. Lai Thi Thanh Phuong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of B'Lao Ward (Lam Dong), first of all, the trade union needs to strengthen its representative role, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
This is a core task to create trust and attachment of workers to the trade union organization.
Trade union levels need to proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; promptly coordinate to solve issues related to salaries, insurance regimes, working conditions, labor safety and social welfare," Ms. Phuong said.

In addition, according to Ms. Phuong, promoting digital transformation in trade union activities is a necessary requirement.
Applying digital platforms in union member management, receiving feedback, propagating policies and laws, and organizing online activities will help improve the effectiveness of connecting with workers, especially young workers.
Along with that, it is necessary to innovate propaganda forms in a close, concise, and visual direction, in line with the current trend of accessing information on social networks," Ms. Phuong added.
Another issue that many opinions are interested in is improving the quality of grassroots trade union officials.
Accordingly, trade union officials need to have bravery, dialogue skills, the ability to mobilize the masses and a high sense of responsibility.

Mr. Vo Lam Vinh - Chairman of the Trade Union of Ward 1 Bao Loc (Lam Dong) said that in addition to the task of caring for material life, the trade union needs to pay more attention to the spiritual life of union members and workers through cultural and sports activities, psychological counseling, legal support and building a humane working environment.
This is also a solution that contributes to limiting psychological pressure, retaining workers and building a united collective," Mr. Vinh shared.
For Lam Dong province, many opinions suggest that trade unions need to pay more attention to workers in remote and isolated areas, ethnic minority areas, agricultural workers and seasonal workers.
Strengthening practical support programs such as "Trade Union Homes", periodic health check-ups, support for unexpected difficulties or vocational skills training will contribute to improving life, creating motivation for workers to feel secure in sticking with their jobs.
In the new situation, trade union organizations are not only a support for workers but also need to become an effective bridge between workers and agencies, units, businesses and authorities.
To do so, trade union levels need to continue to innovate thinking, act decisively, strongly focus on grassroots levels and take union members and workers as the center of all activities.
