Agreements with more benefits for workers
The grassroots trade union of Ha Bac Export Garment Company (Bac Ninh province) determines that ensuring jobs, increasing income, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers is the central and consistent task in all activities of the grassroots trade union.
Right from the beginning of the term, the Trade Union Executive Committee and the General Director signed regulations on coordination of activities, creating synchronicity in the implementation of labor law, Trade Union Law, and policies for employees; promoted the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations, coordinated with professional departments to organize employee conferences in the first quarter of each year and signed collective labor agreements.
The Trade Union participates with professional departments in building, amending, and supplementing labor regulations, coordination regulations, emulation and commendation regulations, collective labor agreements... in accordance with the law, with the company's production and business conditions, ensuring the legitimate rights and interests of employees.
From there, some more beneficial policies for workers have been agreed, signed and implemented at the company: Increasing the amount of support for kindergartens and preschools for workers with young children aged 1-6 years old to 50,000 VND/child/month; increasing the amount of gasoline support from 11,000 VND/day of work to 15,000 VND/day of work.
Increase shift meals (especially food purchase fees) from 17,200 VND to 18,000 VND/meal; 1 day off with salary when grandparents and siblings pass away; supplement the policy "Female workers are entitled to the 13th month's salary for maternity leave"...
Other diverse bonuses are applied such as initiative bonuses, high working-day bonuses, domestic and foreign tourism bonuses, holiday and Tet bonuses are different policies of enterprises agreed upon by the trade union and the Board of Directors to be awarded annually.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Ha Bac Garment Joint Stock Company said that in the coming time, the company's Trade Union will participate with professional departments in building, amending, and supplementing internal regulations, management regulations, collective labor agreements to be consistent with the law, consistent with the company's production and business conditions. Along with that, the trade union proactively inspects and supervises the implementation of salary and bonus regimes, social insurance, health insurance and regimes for female workers, labor protection work for workers, ensuring that workers entering the workplace enjoy full rights according to the law...
Improving the quality of proposals and policy feedback efficiency
At the provincial level, in the period 2023-2025, the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation organized training classes on skills in dialogue, negotiation, and signing of collective labor agreements for trade union officials; directed grassroots trade unions to review, amend, supplement, and sign collective labor agreements with many clauses that are more beneficial to union members and workers such as: salaries, bonuses, meal allowances, diligence, seniority, rest time, travel support, childcare support, rent... Up to now, 81% of enterprises with trade union organizations organize employee conferences; 84.7% of grassroots trade unions coordinate to organize dialogues at workplaces and negotiate and sign collective labor agreements. 7 electronic enterprises in Que Vo Industrial Park have been mobilized to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements with business groups with more content that benefits workers.
In particular, during Workers' Month 2025, the Bac Giang Provincial Labor Federation (old) coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to organize a meeting with voters who are workers with more than 1,400 workers attending; organized a meeting and dialogue between the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation and trade union officials, workers with nearly 400 delegates attending. At the voter meeting, there were 33 opinions with 15 groups of recommendations and proposals from union members and workers... The contents have been directly answered by departments and branches and the National Assembly Delegation has summarized them to reflect opinions to the National Assembly.
At the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor level, in Workers' Month 2025, more than 7,398 dialogues were organized synchronously at all three levels of trade unions, attracting 545,763 turns of trade union officials, union members and workers to participate. Through dialogues, over 26,000 opinions were recorded, focusing on urgent issues of union members and workers such as employment, income, social security and working conditions. The highlight in this year's implementation is the combination of dialogue and field surveys, contributing to increasing depth in listening to and understanding the thoughts and aspirations of workers; thereby improving the quality of proposals and the effectiveness of policy feedback.
In recent years, the Trade Union's outstanding activities have been contributing opinions to build policies and laws, contributing many enthusiastic opinions, successfully protecting the rights of workers, and being the leading agency to submit to the National Assembly for approval the 2024 Trade Union Law. The Trade Union has contributed many critical opinions to draft laws directly related to workers, such as the Employment Law (amended); draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Health Insurance Law...
Along with that, the Trade Union participates in inspection, examination, supervision and implementation of supervision and social criticism; participates in building and implementing grassroots democracy regulations; dialogue at workplaces, collective negotiation, organizing emulation movements...
Democratic models, such as: Workers' Conferences, dialogues between workers and employers, heads of government at all levels, dialogues with the Prime Minister, "Workers' Forum" at the National Assembly... have been widely deployed, bringing practical efficiency. These are important channels for the Trade Union to represent workers and bring workers' voices to the Party and the State.
