On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27,47 - July 27, 2025), on July 28, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) Thai Thu Xuong and a working delegation of the Can Tho City Labor Federation offered flowers, incense, and pay tribute to heroes and martyrs at the Can Tho City Martyrs' Cemetery.

Here, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong and delegates respectfully offered flowers, burned incense, observed a moment of silence and expressed their deep gratitude to the outstanding children of Can Tho and the whole country who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation Le Thi Suong Mai said that with a revolutionary tradition and high sense of responsibility, the Can Tho City Labor Union always strives to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers.
The results achieved today are the continuous achievements of the sacrifices and silent contributions of many generations of our ancestors before us, including union officials who were soldiers, war invalids, and martyrs, who fell on this land.
Can Tho City Trade Unions at all levels will continue to inherit and promote the glorious tradition, maintain the morality of "Remembering the source of drinking water", and reward the great contributions of generations that have sacrificed for the independence - freedom of the nation, for the progress of society and the rights of workers.
