On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution, the 80th anniversary of the National Day, and the 78th anniversary of the 27th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the delegation of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Hanoi National University) led by Dr. Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Chairman of the School's Trade Union visited and presented gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers at the Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center.
Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center currently cares for and treats 55 war invalids with a disability rate of over 81% in Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces.
At the visit, comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh expressed her deep respect and gratitude for the great sacrifices and contributions of the war invalids - those who donated their blood and bones to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. Comrade Oanh hopes that the war invalids will continue to live well, overcome the pain of disability, feel secure in nursing, uphold the example of courage and the will to be brave of Uncle Ho's soldiers, continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, educate their children and grandchildren to follow their example, actively contribute to building the homeland to develop more and more.
The leader of Nghe An War Invalids Nursing Center said that the unit was established in 1974 with the task of receiving, managing, treating, and caring for seriously ill war invalids. With the special care of the center's staff, along with the efforts to overcome pain and overcome the disease; the health of war invalids and sick soldiers has gradually stabilized over time.
On this occasion, the delegation presented 60 gifts, including 55 gifts to war invalids and sick soldiers, 5 gifts to officers and civil servants who are war invalids, children of war invalids, and children of martyrs working at the Center.
