The conference was held in person and online. Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - chaired the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that the 2024 Trade Union Law was passed by the National Assembly at the 8th session on November 27, 2024.
According to Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, the Conference collected experts and trade union officials on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Trade Union Law in 2024 that were held before the requirements of the streamlined arrangement of the organizational structure of the political system. The consideration of the amendment of the 2024 Trade Union Law is associated with the amendment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Law, the Youth Law, the Law on Execution of the Democracy at the grassroots level, that is, a law amending 4 laws.
Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu emphasized that the amendment of this law focuses on the contents related to streamlining the organizational structure. At the request of the Party, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has built a project on streamlined arrangement of the Fatherland Front Agency and socio -political organizations, mass associations assigned by the Party and the State.
Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said that the streamlining in the relationship between the Fatherland Front and Trade Union organization, socio -political organizations; leaving the district level; At the end of the activities of the union of officials, the armed forces trade union are the main contents to consider in the amendment of the Trade Union Law.
The Vice President hopes that experts and union officials will contribute their opinions on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2024 Trade Union Law, with the goal of streamlining, operating effectively and efficiently; promoting the role of the Trade Union after streamlining the organization and apparatus.
