In 2024, Trade Unions at all levels in Bac Lieu province focused on implementing the work program with the goal of bringing the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels into life; competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has issued programs and plans to concretize the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union and the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress to improve the quality and effectiveness of Trade Union activities, care for, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.
In 2024, Bac Lieu province achieved and exceeded the plan of 11/11 targets assigned by the General Confederation of Labor; Trade Unions at all levels promoted well the basic and central function of the Trade Union organization, which is to represent, care for, and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and employees.
In 2024, the Trade Union at all levels organized visits, gave gifts, and supported sick people through the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia" for more than 3,630 union members and employees facing difficulties with a total cost of over 2.2 billion VND; supported the construction of 30 new houses, repaired 5 Trade Union Shelters; organized "Workers' Month", "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene"; "Month of Action for Children"... with many practical activities, highly appreciated by the community and local authorities.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and presenting to evaluate the results achieved in 2024, analyze the shortcomings and limitations and propose solutions in the coming time for Trade Union activities; patriotic emulation movement among employees; union member development work, establishment of grassroots Trade Unions.
To implement the key tasks in 2025, the Bac Lieu Provincial Federation of Labor has also developed specific directions and solutions for implementation. In particular, it continues to focus on caring for, protecting and legitimate interests of employees.
In the immediate future, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, it is expected to support more than 3,300 union members in difficulty; focus on negotiating and signing with business owners to implement terms that are beneficial to workers; launch emulation to welcome Party congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030; successfully organize the 6th Conference of Advanced Models in Workers - 2025...
