Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged and commended the efforts, attempts and contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs. Currently, Dien Bien province has 49 enterprises with trade unions with 2,808 union members. In 2024, the whole province has developed 8 new grassroots trade unions in the non-state enterprise sector with 176 union members.
The Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor said that businesses are interested in implementing activities to care for Tet for workers. On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 collectives of grassroots trade unions with outstanding achievements in caring for union members and workers in 2024.
Previously, the Provincial Federation of Labor signed a cooperation agreement with the United States Nutrition Development Joint Stock Company on implementing a nutrition support program for the 2025-2028 period. Accordingly, union members and workers in the province will enjoy preferential nutritional products, with a price support level of 30-65% compared to market prices.
Currently, the Provincial Federation of Labor has been actively implementing the arrangement of the organization and apparatus of trade union cadres. Accordingly, it is expected to dissolve 3 Trade Unions at the grassroots level (education, healthcare, civil servants) to establish 2 Trade Unions at the grassroots level (Party; Government).
