On September 25, Area Management Working Group No. 5 - Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HCMC) held a meeting of grassroots trade unions in Dat Do Industrial Park; together with grassroots trade unions with 1,000 or more union members in communes, wards and special zones that have not yet established commune trade unions.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Van Hoa - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - said that in recent times, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Union has made many innovations in content and methods of operation; focusing on practical care for union members and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises.
However, besides the achieved results, practical operations still face many difficulties and challenges. Many issues need to be discussed frankly and timely solutions proposed. Thereby, continuing to affirm the role and position of the Trade Union organization and in the hearts of workers.
The conference discussed and evaluated the situation of trade union activities in the past time; the situation of grassroots trade unions after implementing the two-level government model; grasping the aspirations of union members and workers... Thereby, clearly identifying difficulties and limitations; proposing recommendations, orientations, tasks and key solutions in the coming time, especially the work of caring for and protecting union members' rights; building a team of trade union officials.
On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also organized a ceremony to commend and present gifts to 26 motorbike taxi union members with outstanding achievements in the movement of the whole people to protect national security. Delegates also attended the seminar on "Traffic safety - Security and order - Crime prevention".
