On June 20, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) held the 5th Executive Committee Conference to review trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2025.
In the past 6 months, trade unions at all levels in the province have closely followed the actual situation, actively grasped the thoughts and public opinion among union members and workers; coordinated with competent authorities to promptly resolve arising issues, ensuring the legitimate rights of workers, contributing to stabilizing production and security and order in the locality.

Trade unions at all levels have synchronously implemented many practical care activities, notably programs during the Lunar New Year and Workers' Month - Labor Safety and Hygiene Month, bringing direct benefits to over 112,000 union members, with a total budget of more than 37.8 billion VND. In addition, support the construction and repair of 69 "Union Shelters", support difficulties for thousands of people, effectively maintain rotation capital models, legal advice, and protect labor rights.
Activities of coordination and dialogue at enterprises, negotiation of signing collective labor agreements, improving the quality of shift meals... have been effectively implemented. Propaganda and political and legal education work has been promoted with nearly 3,000 propaganda sessions and nearly 70,000 participants.

The emulation movement is associated with political tasks and major events, with 64 typical models and works such as "Happy Bus", "After work break", "Ba Ao Club", "Thank You to Workers"... The work of developing union members and building trade union organizations has been focused on, admitting 5,745 new union members, establishing 18 grassroots unions, introducing 633 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration of admission.

Speaking at the conference, Chairwoman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Huynh Thi Tuyet Vui emphasized that in the last 6 months of the year, the Provincial Trade Union organization entered an important stage with the task of implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on streamlining the organizational apparatus, effectiveness and efficiency. This is a challenging time but also an opportunity to comprehensively innovate trade union activities, and at the same time, it is recommended that trade unions at all levels closely monitor the situation of union members and workers, focus on completing the targets for 2025 and carefully preparing the contents for the Provincial Trade Union Congress after the merger.
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor also expressed his deep gratitude to the team of union officials at all levels - those who have contributed to building a strong union organization, and at the same time hoped that no matter the position, they would continue to spread a beautiful image of the union organization.

On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor commended 9 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in Workers' Month 2025 and 1 collective with practical jobs in response to the "Removing temporary and dilapidated houses" movement in the province.
