There are 25 commune and ward trade unions
As of May 2025, before the merger, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor had 2,072 grassroots trade union organizations, with about 330,000 union members distributed in 16 grassroots trade unions (8 district and city trade unions; industry trade unions, industrial park trade unions). The Bac Giang Provincial Federation of Labor has 1,900 grassroots trade union organizations with about 320,000 union members distributed in 17 grassroots trade unions (10 district and city trade unions; industry trade unions, industrial park trade unions).
From July 1, 2025, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor will manage 2,114 grassroots trade unions of enterprises and public service units that do not receive 100% of their salaries from the State budget with 579,012 union members; including 977 grassroots trade unions in the province's industrial parks with 399,904 union members.
It is expected that the Provincial Federation of Labor will assign 25 commune and ward unions to manage 1,137 grassroots unions outside industrial parks with 179,108 union members; the Provincial Federation of Labor will directly manage 977 grassroots unions in industrial parks with 399,904 union members.
The organizational system of the trade union apparatus of Bac Ninh province includes 2 departments (Trade Union Work Committee, Industrial Park Trade Union Committee) and 25 commune and ward trade unions.
The Executive Committee of the Federation of Labor consists of 38 comrades; the Standing Committee consists of 14 comrades. Comrade Thach Van Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Bac Giang City Party Committee was appointed as Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (new). The Vice Chairmen include comrades: Nguyen Manh Hung; Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc; Le Duc Tho.
Innovating the method of admitting union members in conjunction with improving the quality of union members
In the coming time, trade unions at all levels in Bac Ninh province will continue to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the trade union system, ensuring effective and efficient operations according to the direction of the Central Government; review, amend and promptly supplement regulations, regulations, directives and instructions of the trade union organization, in order to unify and synchronize the implementation of tasks after the arrangement of the apparatus and cadres.
Along with that, resources will be focused on, creating a breakthrough in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises; focusing on directing the work of propaganda to develop union members and establish grassroots unions. Trade unions at all levels focus on innovating the method of admitting union members in conjunction with improving the quality of union members; focusing resources, creating a breakthrough in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions, especially in non-state enterprises and informal workers.
In the work of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, the Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor directs trade unions at all levels to continue to participate in building and implementing democratic regulations at the grassroots level, organizing dialogues at the workplace, negotiating, signing and implementing the 2025 Collective Labor Agreement; propagating and mobilizing union members and workers to support the 2025 "Union Shelter" fund; supporting the construction of "Union Shelter" housing for union members and workers in difficult circumstances. Along with that, participate in inspecting and supervising units and enterprises on the implementation of legal regulations on labor and trade unions.
The Bac Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor will also continue to grasp the production situation of enterprises, employment, income, life and thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers; organize propaganda activities and legal advice for workers in workers' dormitories and at enterprises.
