From July 1, after merging the two provinces of Long An (old) and Tay Ninh (old), the new Tay Ninh province has a total of more than 465,000 union members, operating in 2,095 grassroots unions. The Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation currently consists of 2 committees: the Trade Union Working Committee and the Industrial Park Trade Union Committee.
Sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tran Le Duy - Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation - said: "The merger opens up great opportunities for the provincial Trade Union to be consolidated and developed. We have more human resources, experience and opportunities to reorganize the apparatus in a streamlined and efficient manner. However, the challenges are not small, especially in the management and allocation of resources, how to protect the legitimate rights and interests and care for the lives of union members and workers in an even and practical way. The important thing is to stabilize the organization quickly, not to interrupt the work of caring for and protecting the rights of workers".
In his new position, Mr. Tran Le Duy identified 3 key orientations for the provincial Trade Union in the coming time. First, perfect the organization in a streamlined and unified manner. Second, improve the quality of the trade union staff, especially at the grassroots level. Third, focus on implementing programs to care for the lives of union members and workers, especially in the fields of housing, income and welfare.
In the last 6 months of 2025, the Provincial Trade Union will focus on implementing in-depth activities to improve the quality of trade union activities at the grassroots level. Key tasks include: Organizing dialogue and collective bargaining; regular dialogue with businesses; reviewing data of union members after the merger; implementing the program "Union Shelter", "Union member welfare"; organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities; developing a plan for the program "Tet Sum Vay 2026" with the motto "leaving no one behind".
To meet new requirements, the Tay Ninh Provincial Trade Union is promoting digital transformation, applying information technology in management and operation. The unit is continuing to improve union member management software and exploit social networks to increase interaction and effective communication to union members and workers.
At the same time, the training of trade union officials is given special attention, especially in digital communication skills and data management. According to Mr. Tran Le Duy, union officials are the decisive factor in the quality of activities, need to have solid expertise, innovative thinking and adapt to changes.
Sending his condolences to union members and workers, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation Tran Le Duy expressed: I would like to thank union members and workers for accompanying the Trade Union organization. In the new context, Tay Ninh Trade Union is committed to continuing to innovate and take practical actions to be worthy of being a solid support for workers. I hope each union member will maintain a spirit of solidarity, together overcome challenges, and contribute to building harmonious, stable and humane labor relations".
In the new development period, the Tay Ninh Provincial Trade Union continues to affirm its role as a representative and protection of the rights of union members and workers. At the same time, the unit strives to become a bridge between workers, businesses and the government, contributing to the sustainable development goals of the province and the country.
