On September 12, leaders of the Hue City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) visited, encouraged and provided support to union members and workers at Scavi Hue Textile Company and B'lao Sport Co., Ltd. who are being treated at medical facilities after a suspected food poisoning incident.
The working delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Quy - Vice Chairman of Hue City Labor Federation - visited workers being treated at Phong Dien Medical Center and Hue Central Hospital facility 2.
At medical facilities, the working delegation visited and inquired about the health situation, encouraged workers to feel secure in treatment, recover soon and return to work. Hue City Labor Federation also provided support to union members and workers who are being treated.
Hue City Labor Federation requests grassroots trade unions to continue to coordinate with businesses and functional agencies to grasp the situation, care for and support workers; promptly reflect arising issues, ensure the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
Previously, as Lao Dong Newspaper reported, at about 10 am on September 11, at Scavi Hue Textile Company (Phong Dien Industrial Park, Phong Dien Ward, Hue City), a suspected food poisoning incident occurred.
On the evening of September 12, Mr. Tran Kiem Hao - Director of Hue City Department of Health - said that medical facilities have received 184 cases of suspected food poisoning occurring at Scavi Hue Company. In which, Hue Central Hospital facility 2 received 165 cases, Phong Dien Medical Center received 19 cases.
