In the past time, Vietnam Social Security (BHXH) has directed the Hanoi City Social Insurance Agency to directly transfer money to pay monthly pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts to beneficiaries.
Accordingly, the schedule for paying pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts to beneficiaries in Hanoi is on the 2nd working day of the month.
Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances for beneficiaries in the Capital in September 2026, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for Social Insurance Participants of Hanoi City - said: "According to the announcement of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the National Day holiday of September 2, 2026, employees are entitled to 2 days off including September 1 and September 2. However, due to the application of working day swaps, this holiday lasts 5 consecutive days from August 29 to September 2 (including both weekend days off, i.e. from Saturday to the end of the following Wednesday). This holiday schedule applies to officials, civil servants, and public employees. Businesses are also encouraged to take leave in this direction.
And according to the monthly pension and social insurance allowance payment schedule in the Capital, which is the 2nd working day of the month, in September 2026, the Hanoi City Social Insurance Agency will pay beneficiaries through personal accounts on September 4th (Friday); for cash payments to beneficiaries, the Social Insurance Agency will coordinate with the Post Office to develop a timely payment plan for beneficiaries after September 4th".
According to Hanoi Social Insurance, by the end of July 2026, the whole city had 8,607,538 people participating in health insurance, reaching a coverage rate of 96.33% of the population; 2,626,507 people participating in compulsory social insurance; 149,636 people participating in voluntary social insurance and 2,539,248 people participating in unemployment insurance. Total social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance revenue reached 52,423.9 billion VND, equal to 57.88% of the annual plan.
In particular, through strengthening coordination and exploiting data from the Tax and Financial agencies, Hanoi City Social Insurance has newly developed nearly 6,000 units with over 28,000 employees participating in social insurance.
The settlement and payment of social insurance and unemployment insurance regimes continues to be fully and promptly implemented, ensuring the rights of participants and beneficiaries.
In the first 7 months of the year, Hanoi Social Insurance has resolved 343,075 turns of people enjoying social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits; organized the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances to 607,320 people with a total amount of 29,542 billion VND. In which, the rate of payment through personal accounts reached 99.61%, continuing to affirm the effectiveness of digital transformation in the field of regime payment, contributing to improving service quality and creating favorable conditions for people.
