This is one of the contents implemented in the plan to organize activities to participate in the National Wage Council in 2026 issued by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on February 9, 2026.
According to the plan, the development of plans and proposals of the General Confederation on adjusting the minimum wage is expected to be implemented in May and June 2026.
The content of developing plans and organizing surveys and assessments of the labor situation, wages, income, spending and living standards of employees in enterprises in 2025 will be implemented earlier, from May to May 2026.
Develop a report on the labor situation, wages, income, spending and living standards of workers in 2025; develop a plan and proposal from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on adjusting the minimum wage by month and by hour, serving the negotiation of the minimum wage for 2026 to be implemented in May and June 2026.
Organize 1 conference to collect opinions from trade union officials and employees to assess the implementation of Decree 74/2024/ND-CP dated June 30, 2025 stipulating the minimum wage for employees working under labor contracts; organize 3 technical meetings on the plan to adjust the minimum wage in 2026, implemented from April to July 2026.
These contents will be chaired by the Labor Relations Department, the Trade Union Affairs Committee, provincial-level Trade Unions, and sectors in coordination.
The content of participating in official sessions of the National Wage Council; organizing opinions in the trade union system will be implemented from February to September 2026 (according to the Program of the National Wage Council).
Information and propaganda activities on the minimum wage, activities and work results of the National Wage Council and activities of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will be carried out regularly in 2026.
