On December 5, a working delegation of the Lang Son Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) led by Ms. Be Thi Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, came to present funds to support the construction of a "Union Shelter" house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, a union member of Cao Lau Primary School (Ba Son commune).
Ms. Thu has been a teacher in a mountainous school for many years, and is also a single mother, having to take care of her elderly parents and raise young children of school age.
Difficult economic conditions have forced her family to live in a seriously degraded level 4 house: leaky roof, moist walls, unsafe, especially during the rainy season.
From the "Union Shelter" Fund, the Provincial Federation of Labor supported Ms. Thu with 40 million VND to help her build a new house.
With the contribution of colleagues, relatives and local authorities, the project started in June and was completed in November 2025.
The house has an area of nearly 60 m2, a total cost of more than 300 million VND, and is assessed to be of guaranteed quality, meeting the living needs of the family.
Completing the new home not only helps Ms. Thu stabilize her life but also creates conditions for her to teach with peace of mind, continuing to accompany students in mountainous areas.
