Helping workers and the poor settle down and make a living
In early March 2025, Dak Lak Provincial Police simultaneously deployed the construction of houses for poor and near-poor households according to the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025.
Mr. Y Than's family (Buon Ho town) is one of the first households to receive support in this period. For the past 5 years, his family's level 4 house has been seriously degraded. Every time it rains, water leaks everywhere, the whole family has to squeeze into a small corner to do daily activities.
"My family has 7 members, belonging to a poor household. I myself have had a stroke for many years, so it is even more difficult. The old house was built a long time ago, degraded but there are no conditions for repairs. Thanks to the attention of the government, my family now has a new, spacious place to live, can work and produce with peace of mind, raise children to study and determined to escape poverty" - Mr. Y Than emotionally shared.
Similarly, the family of Mr. Y Mac Bya (1996, Krong Buk commune, Krong Pac district) is also in a difficult situation. A seasonal worker with an unstable income, he and his wife have been married for nearly 10 years, have a child in grade 2 but still have to live at home with his biological mother because they are not able to build their own family.
Looking at the new house that is gradually being completed, Mr. Y Mac Bya expressed: My wife and I always hope to have a solid house to work with peace of mind and raise our children well. Working all the time without enough money, now that I have support to build a house, I feel like I have more strength. Life turned a new page, full of hope for the future".
