Regarding social insurance debt according to the legal entity of Mai Linh Group Joint Stock Company Branch in Nha Trang, in August 2024, the unit paid social insurance for 11 employees who had quit their jobs with an amount of 440,000,000 VND.
However, due to the residual effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and fierce competition among taxi companies in Khanh Hoa province, the Company's financial situation is difficult, leading to payment of social insurance debt not according to plan.
Based on the decision to request payment of old debts of Mai Linh Nha Trang unit due to many objective reasons, the company is currently facing many difficulties and is unable to pay at once.
The company proposed a roadmap for paying outstanding social insurance debts to close the social insurance numbers and salaries for laid-off employees in two installments. The first installment is in the first quarter of 2025. The company commits to paying social insurance to close the books and pay salaries for 7/31 employees according to the list of working minutes on January 3.
The unit commits to pay the remaining amount according to the schedule before June 30, 2025.
Previously, many drivers who have been working at Mai Linh Nha Trang Company Limited reported that they have been owed wages and social insurance for a long time.
According to statistics, this company owes from 1 to 11 months of salary to more than 100 employees with an amount of 2 billion VND; owes social insurance to employees from 2020 to present 6 billion VND.
Of which, the debt of the old legal entity is more than 5.5 billion VND, the debt of the new legal entity is nearly 500 million VND. At the dialogue on January 3, the business representative pledged to work with the leaders of Mai Linh Group and report on the roadmap for resolving social insurance debt under the old legal entity before January 15 to the authorities in Khanh Hoa.
At the same time, finalize social insurance payments under the new legal entity before January 24 and commit to paying at least 50% of salary before January 24 and paying the remaining 50% before March 30 for all employees.
