On June 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Quang Tri province confirmed that the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces held a conference to discuss and agree on a number of contents in implementing the Project to merge the Front agencies, socio-political organizations and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State at the provincial and commune levels.
At the conference, Mr. Dao Manh Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province received and worked with the working delegation of Quang Binh province led by Mr. Pham Quang Long - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
The two sides focused on exchanging contents related to the draft political report to submit to the Party Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province (after the merger) term 2025 - 2030; unify the steps of preparing the project to merge the system of Front agencies, socio -political organizations and mass associations of each province. It is expected that the construction and completion of the project will be completed in July 2025.
In addition, the leaders of the two provinces also agreed to assign specialized departments to coordinate in developing regulations for operation, management, and describing specific job positions after the merger. The appropriate personnel arrangement for specialized departments will contribute to ensuring the stable and effective operation of the new agency, headquartered in Quang Binh province.
The leaders of the two provinces proposed the advisory department to continue to actively review and coordinate the development of contents related to the merger project, and carefully prepare documents to serve the Party Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Agency at the coming time.
It is known that Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces will merge under the name of Quang Tri, the new province will have an area of nearly 12,700km2, with a population of over 1.86 million people.
