Many businesses in Ho Chi Minh City are accelerating the recruitment of a large number of workers to meet abundant export orders. The expansion of factories and promotion of production not only creates more job opportunities but also promises a stable income for workers.

Businesses rush to produce after Tet

Last weekend, over 4,000 workers of Thong Dung Shoe Co., Ltd. (shoe production, An Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City) returned to the factory fully to produce. In the past two years, the company's orders have been abundant, so the jobs and incomes of workers are quite stable.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien - Chairman of the company's grassroots trade union - said that there are many orders from businesses, so factories organize overtime for workers right from the beginning of the year.

In Thoi Hoa ward, many businesses in My Phuoc 3 industrial park such as MoToMotion Vietnam Co., Ltd. (producing sofas) are organizing to recruit more workers to expand production.

In Tan Hiep ward, the leader of Ky Nghe Cua Y A Chau Co., Ltd. (producing high-class kitchen cabinets) informed that this year the field of wooden furniture continues to have much competition, so finding orders is also more difficult. However, the enterprise has signed many solutions with partners to ensure jobs for workers. Currently, the company is organizing production with more than 1,300 workers at factories in Tan Hiep ward and Binh Co ward. The enterprise is also building an additional factory in Dong Nai to expand production.

Recorded at the factory in Tan Hiep ward, there are more than 1,000 workers participating in production with a busy and urgent working atmosphere. Mr. Dao Quang Tho - Human Resources Director of the company - said that the factory quickly regained its working atmosphere right from the beginning of the year. All departments are focused on working to ensure the progress of orders and the enterprise's production and business plans in 2026.

Hoping for stable jobs and income

According to records, in recent days, workers have been working urgently, and at the same time expressed excitement and expectation that jobs and income in 2026 will continue to be stable.

Mr. Huynh Quang Hiep (52 years old, from Dong Thap) shared: "I have been working in the field of wooden furniture production for 6 years. In recent years, my income has also been relatively stable, on average I earn about 12 million VND per month. My biggest wish is that the business can sign more orders with partners, only then will we workers have jobs and be able to work overtime to have more income.

Ms. Phan Thi Nhi (35 years old, from An Giang) also said that the income of workers is largely increased thanks to overtime. Each month, if working office hours, Ms. Nhi only has a salary of about 7.5 million VND, thanks to overtime, her income increased to 12 million VND.

We are mostly workers far from home, having to spend a lot at the beginning of the year. Therefore, stable jobs are very important to us. We hope the company will continue to have more orders, creating stable jobs for workers" - Ms. Nhi expressed.

Grassroots trade unions negotiate additional benefits for union members

The grassroots trade unions have proposed to businesses to increase welfare policies for union members. Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. - informed that she has proposed and been agreed by the business to increase an additional 3,000 VND for food purchase for each serving right from the beginning of the new year 2026. Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Asia Door Industry Co., Ltd. affirmed that the unit has proposed and been agreed by the company to allocate funds to fund groups per employee (300,000 VND per person). This amount is for units to spend on organizing birthdays, visiting, and encouraging colleagues when there are family matters.
