On October 5, the Gia Lai Provincial Federation of Labor (GFF) said that the unit had directed trade unions at all levels and grassroots trade unions to continue to care for the material and spiritual life of workers, including urban environmental workers.
During the annual storm season, the western area of Gia Lai has heavy, continuous rainfall, sometimes even months. The rain affected, damaged, and degraded urban traffic infrastructure, causing trees to fall.
Ms. N.T.T - a worker at Gia Lai Urban Construction Joint Stock Company - shared: "The annual rainy and stormy season is the most difficult and dangerous season for workers. The tree system is constantly at risk of falling, with leaves falling everywhere.
While the awareness of a part of the people is not high, they still littered, especially construction waste, soap, salons, mattresses... in the wrong place, increasing the burden on the shoulders of workers".
According to the Trade Union of Gia Lai Urban Construction Joint Stock Company, in the last months of the year, the unit focused on four areas: environmental sanitation, water supply and drainage maintenance, trees - lawns - flowers and public lighting.
The company plans to repair and patch potholes, ensuring traffic safety for 22 damaged roads. The public lighting system, especially on national highways and gateways to Pleiku city, has also been repaired and replaced promptly.
In early October 2025, workers were mobilized 100%, focusing on best serving the 1st Gia Lai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
As a large urban area in the Central Highlands, wards such as Dien Hong, Thong Nhat, Pleiku, Hoi Phu, An Phu and Gao and Bien Ho communes (belonging to the old Pleiku city) still retain the image of a green, friendly and affectionate plateau.
That is the great effort of the tireless and diligent workers in the late night street lights.
