Ms. Trinh Hong Van - Principal of Thanh Xuan Trung Secondary School said that the school has developed two options to send to all parents:
Option 1: If heavy rain or prolonged heavy rain causes deep flooding on school roads, on October 6, 2025 (Monday), the school will organize online teaching. Parents are advised to prepare equipment and Internet connection so that students can fully participate in their studies.
Option 2: If there is light rain and little rain, students will study directly at school as usual.
The school will base on the weather forecastcastcast broadcast on VTV1 at 6:00 a.m. on Monday (October 6, 2025) and the actual situation to decide on the official plan, then immediately notify the parents. Parents are requested to closely coordinate with the school to ensure both safety and maintain a good learning environment for students, Ms. Trinh Hong Van emphasized.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang, Principal of Marie Curie School (Hanoi) said: dien thoai No. 16 of the Hanoi People's Committee directs on responding to storm No. 11, for the education sector: Based on the developments of rain, storms, and floods in the area, proactively direct students at all levels to stay home from school to ensure safety for students and teachers. Marie Curie Hanoi School prepares two options. Option 1: If the weather does not show any signs of danger, students can go to school normally.
Option 2: The weather is too bad (heavy rain, strong winds, flooded roads), students will stay home if they cannot go to school; middle and high school students will switch to online learning, kindergarten and primary school students will be absent from school. We will monitor the weather tonight and early tomorrow morning to make appropriate decisions.
According to the announcement of the Vietnam National University (BUV) to parents and students, to proactively respond to the storm, the school recommends proactively monitoring the storm developments and updating emails/ messages from the school on Sunday (October 5, 2025) to have a specific announcement from the school.
Previously, to proactively respond to storm No. 11, on October 2, 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Official Dispatch No. 1753/CD-BGDDT on overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10 and proactively responding to storm No. 11, along with the Official Dispatch of the Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training (DET) requested the People's Committees of wards and communes to direct educational institutions in the area; Heads of units and schools under the Department to focus on closely monitoring the developments of storm No. 11. Schools need to regularly update warning bulletins, weather forecasts, and natural disasters to proactively prevent, respond, and overcome consequences.
Accordingly, based on the weather situation and natural disaster developments, educational institutions proactively review, prepare plans and deploy response plans according to the "4 on-site" motto, in accordance with the actual conditions of the school. At the same time, it is necessary to have a plan to promptly relocate assets, machinery, equipment, tables, chairs, records, and books to safe places to avoid damage and loss, minimizing damage caused by the storm.
For units with boarding students, students must be strictly managed. The travel requires coordination between schools and families according to the plan and direction of local authorities, ensuring absolute safety. The school also needs to prepare enough drinking water, food and provisions to meet the living needs of students during the storm.
Schools absolutely do not organize extracurricular activities or collective activities in areas at risk of flooding and landslides. At the same time, establish an information channel with parents to manage students when participating in local activities, in order to minimize possible risks.
In addition, schools need to regularly update information, summarize damage (if any), develop a handling plan, overcome and report to the Department of Education and Training through the Department of Politics, ideology and Student Affairs.
