Circular No. 109/2025/TT-BQP of the Ministry of National Defense has specified in detail the subjects and standards for considering awarding commemorative medals for the cause of maintaining United Nations peacekeeping. The Circular takes effect from November 14, 2025.
Article 13 of the Circular stipulates the rights and responsibilities of individuals awarded the United Nations peacekeeping award as follows:
1. Individuals in Vietnam who are awarded Commemorative Medals in the country will receive a Badge, Certificate, Commemorative Medal frame and a bonus of 0.6 times the basic salary.
2. Vietnamese people residing abroad and foreigners awarded Commemorative Medals will receive Badges, Certificates, Commemorative Medal frames and gifts worth 0.6 times the basic salary.
3. Individuals awarded Commemorative Medals are responsible for preserving the Commemorative Medal and promoting the tradition of the Vietnam People's Army, being exemplary in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.
Currently, the basic salary stipulated in Decree 73/2024/ND-CP is 2,340,000 VND/month.
Thus, from November 14, 2025, Vietnamese individuals in the country who are awarded the United Nations peacekeeping Medal will receive a Medal, Certificate, Commemorative Medal frame and a bonus of 0.6 x 2,340,000 VND = 1,404,000 VND.
Vietnamese people residing abroad, foreigners awarded Commemorative Medals receive Badges, Certificates, Commemorative Medal frames and gifts worth VND 1,404,000.
