In 2024, Hung Yen province established 81 grassroots trade unions and recruited 18,785 new members. Propaganda, mobilization, and introduction of 1,302 outstanding trade union members for the Party to consider and recruit (including 162 outstanding trade union members who are employees in private economic units). Currently, the province has 173,422 trade union members operating in 1,639 grassroots trade unions. Trade unions at all levels in the province have organized to take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and employees with a total amount of nearly 80 billion VND and 266,500 beneficiaries.
Emulation movements and campaigns have been effectively implemented from the province to the grassroots level, focusing on the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers". The whole province has had 6,222 topics and technical innovation initiatives of workers recognized by all levels and sectors with the value of tens of billions of VND in benefits for units, businesses and society.
Implementing the theme "Worker Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution", trade unions at all levels in the province organized 715 activities in response to Workers' Month, attracting over 170,000 union members and employees to participate; coordinated the organization of 45 dialogues and seminars for 4,165 employees to participate...
Speaking at the Conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu highly appreciated the innovation, creativity, and determination in the direction and implementation of the work and the results achieved by trade unions at all levels in Hung Yen province in 2024.
Vice Chairman Ngo Duy Hieu requested that in 2025, all levels of the Hung Yen provincial trade union continue to do a good job of political and ideological education for cadres and union members on the arrangement and streamlining of the apparatus; thoroughly grasp and implement the Trade Union Law; focus on developing the quantity and improving the quality of collective labor agreements; continue to organize patriotic emulation campaigns and movements; pay attention to training, fostering and improving the quality of the trade union cadre team to effectively carry out the tasks of the trade union organization in the new situation...
In his closing speech at the Conference, Chairman of the Hung Yen Provincial Federation of Labor Le Quang Toan accepted the instructions of the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; at the same time, he requested that all levels of trade unions focus on implementing a number of key tasks in the coming time: Deploying and concretizing the theme and work program for 2025, in accordance with the practical conditions of each locality and unit; in the immediate future, it is necessary to grasp the ideological situation and security of workers in the province and promptly resolve the thoughts and aspirations, and take care of the Lunar New Year of At Ty for workers and laborers.
